명징하게, 그리고 흐릿하게

가만히 서서 한 장면을 바라보다 카메라를 들어 사진을 찍는다. 빛에 반사된 장면은 필름에 박제가 되고, 시공간이 얽힌 장면은 네모난 필름에 갇힌다. 되돌아보면, 어떤 장면들은 명징하고 고요하게 떠올려지고, 어떤 장면들은 흐릿하게 떠오른다.

분명히 내가 감각했을 시간과 공간은 빛을 거치고 시간의 풍화를 거쳐 프레임 안에서 더 선명해지거나 전설처럼 흐릿해진다.
마치 다른 사람의 기억처럼.

In stillness, I gaze at a scene and slowly lift my camera.
The moment reflected in light becomes mummified on film;
a space-time entanglement imprisoned within a square frame.

In hindsight, some scenes return to me with lucid clarity,
while others drift in with a hazy veil, like mist rising from memory.

Time and space—once fully felt—are filtered through light and
weathered by time, only to become more vivid in the frame,
or blurred like an old legend,
as if borrowed from someone else’s recollection.
