1. Bitter Sweet Life

불안은 어둡고 깊다. 죄, 욕망, 교만, 허무, 분노, 무지와 함께 뒤엉켜 있다. 소조는 작업의 핵심 형식이다. 점토를 붙이고 떼는 수정의 과정의 반복을 통해 형상을 가늠하기 어려운 불안을 만든다.
이처럼 불안은 소조를 통해 형상화되며 내 존재의 틀인 사람의 형상이 변형되어 드러난다.
매끄러운 표면은 내 주변을 둘러싸고 있는 환경적 속성을 함축하고 있으며 불안한 내면을 은폐시키는 달콤한 껍질과 같다. 작업은 불안을 마주하고 그 형상화하여 극복하려는 조각적 시도이다.

2. Inner Bloom

사랑은 오래 참고 친절하며 사랑은 시기하지 아니하며
사랑은 자기를 자랑하지 아니하며 우쭐대지 아니하며
무례히 행동하지 아니하며 자기 것을 추구하지 아니하며

1. Bitter Sweet Life

Anxiety is dark and deep. It is entangled with guilt, desire, pride, futility, anger, and ignorance. Modeling is the central method of my work. Through the repeated process of adding and removing clay—an act of correction—I shape an anxiety that defies clear form.
In this way, anxiety is embodied through modeling, and the human figure, which is the framework of my being, is distorted and revealed.
The smooth surface encapsulates the environmental attributes surrounding me and serves as a sweet shell that conceals the anxious interior.
This work is a sculptural attempt to face anxiety, give it form, and overcome it.

2. Inner Bloom

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
