나의 작업은 사진을 통해서 내가 바라보고 감각하는 세상의 일부분을 잘라내서 수집한다.
그것들은 공통적으로 우연과 소멸, 그리고 그 안에 다른 이야기를 포함하고 있다. 이러한 이야기들은 감각을 통하여 나에게 감지되고 기억되며, 이상하고 모호한 사물들로 가득 차 보이는 이 세상의 파편적 이야기이다.
사물들의 본질은 미묘한 간극사이에 존재하는 것일지도 모른다.
모든 것들은 언제 보느냐, 어떻게 보느냐에 따라 그리고 무엇을 통해 보느냐에 따라 같은 것임에도 다 다르게 보일 수 있다.
흔히 볼 수 있고 아무것도 아닌 대상과 사물의 표정, 공간과 자연에 대한 인상을 사진으로 표현하며, 이미지들은 현실에서 분절되어 실제의 모습과 그것을 모방한 사물들 사이에 존재하는 간극과 틈을 이야기하고 있다.
My work involves cutting out and collecting fragments of the world as I perceive and sense it through photography. These fragments commonly contain elements of chance, disappearance, and embedded within them—other stories. Such stories are sensed and remembered through perception, forming a fragmented narrative of this world, which appears filled with strange and ambiguous objects.
The essence of things may exist in the subtle gaps between them.
Everything can appear differently—though it is the same—depending on when, how, and through what it is viewed.
By capturing the expressions of commonplace and seemingly insignificant objects, the impressions of spaces and nature, my photographs explore the intervals and fissures between reality and the representations that mimic it.
